George, a 32 mile long lake, is located in the foothills of the vast
Adirondack Park region. Much of the shoreline is unsettled, through
both federal and state efforts. The lake is entirely surrounded by
mountains and is strictly regulated for water quality and the safety of the
public. Lake George is often compared to Lake Tahoe as one of the most
beautiful and scenic lakes in the world. It is a prime vacation spot
year round.
Huletts Island View Marina & Yacht Club, Inc. is located on the upper
east side at Huletts Landing. Huletts Landing is one of many small
communities around the lake, each lending it's own unique style and way of
life. This beautiful hamlet is located on the part of Lake George
called the narrows. Huletts' hosts a 9-hole golf course, two churches, a public
beach, tennis courts, a pavilion, and it is located at the base of Black Mountain(The highest point on the lake).
